Safety Option For 15-Passenger Vans Available.
The Roadmaster Active Suspension system is designed to improve the ride, stability, and handling characteristics of any vehicle as well as increasing the load carrying and towing ability when needed to prevent bottoming out. Roadmaster Active Suspension reduces body roll and sway, thus often times eliminating the need for anti sway bars. And, also reduces axle wrap and wheel hop in the same manner as a traction bar. Roadmaster Active Suspension works with your existing leaf springs to strengthen them when needed, unlike airbags, which restrict the movement of the leaf spring and thus prevent your suspension from working like it was designed to. Roadmaster Active Suspension systems are available for most all Pickup trucks, Sport Utility Vehicles, Mini Vans and 15 Passenger Vans with leaf spring rear suspension. Of all the Pickup Truck, Van, or SUV accessories available today, the Roadmaster Active Suspension is the one that you will benefit from more than any other. It is not just an accessory, but a necessity.
Thus was the conclusion after extensive independent dynamic handling tests conducted at the Transportation Research Centre Inc (TRC) of Liberty, Ohio. The study used a Ford E350, 15 Passenger Van as it represents 85% of this type of vehicle on US roads. The van was specially outfitted with test measuring equipment, professional driver and a simulated 14 passenger load. “Fully loaded with 15 people, this vehicle becomes almost three times as likely to rollover in an emergency situation and is one of the most dangerous vehicles on the road today”, said David Arnce, National Sales Manager for Roadmaster Active Suspension Inc. During one test, a fully loaded 15-passenger van traveling 23 miles per hour went on two wheels and nearly overturned while making a fishhook turn (similar to a U-turn). The same van fitted with Roadmaster Active Suspension kept all four wheels on the ground when making the same turn at 25 miles an hour.
